Are You A Twitter Pimp?

Oh, by the way don’t try and search for the term “twitter pimp” in Google, because they will filter it.
While I’m waiting on Dan to tweet me back, I’ll take a leap of faith and describe what I think a Twitter Pimp is.
For those of you who haven’t caught up yet, Twitter is a free social utility that lets you stay connected in real time. If you’ve heard of the term ‘micro-blogging’ then you’ve heard of Twitter. That’s all Twitter is, micro-blogging.
So what you say. What’s In It For Me? (there is the WIIFM again!)
Well, for one, Twitter will allow instant traffic to your posts. Simply by letting people know what you are up to, then you can Twitter or Tweet your activities. Your followers (known as friends in SU world) check out what you’re up to, and if it’s something they like, they Tweet others about it.
It’s fun, viral and if you think Blogging Is Addictive, then you haven’t Twittered yet.
Being a Twitter Pimp means that you are pimping Twitter for traffic. For each link you submit, Twitter reformats it into a ‘tiny url,’ so that you don’t run out of characters. You’re only allowed 140 characters per tweet.
So yesterday while Pimping Twitter, I discovered a blog — Twitterholics–which led me to another site (isn’t that so common), Twurl This!
Wow, another way to truly pimp Twitter. How this works is: as soon as I’m done posting this article, I will click on Twurl This (which is installed into my toolbar like SU) and it will instantly send it to Twitter.
I am so in love!
So far, I’m gaining 1-2 followers a day. I can’t wait to really get a lot of followers. Then I will become a true Twitter Pimp!
